Two of the east coast's finest. Saw Garrett a few weeks back, he was rockin' out acoustic styles at Rock Bottom. Haven't seen Keith in a bit, but I imagine he's touring around like a superstar. Either that or locked in his bedroom practicing like a madman.

OK Go - I Won't Let You Down
To be perfectly honest I think this song is pretty weak, even for OK Go, who aren't exactly the headiest group out there. That said, you have to recognize video creativity, and these guys are definitely winning in that department. So I am now the 38,184th person to post this. Moving on...

So it was supposed to be U2 week on the Tonight Show, but Bono broke himself so it got cancelled. I'm not really concerned, I don't watch the show and don't really listen to much U2 these days, but I do enjoy their older stuff and figured why not, let's have a U2 day. Lo and behold I conveniently came across this cover that I completely forgot about. If the production sounds NIN-ish, it's because it is. Trent Reznor did the beats, Saul did the vocals. Red Fang - Crows In Swine
This is another re-post. I really don't like doing that, but I will make the rare exception where it's warranted. In this case the new video is too dope not to shine its awesomeness on the blog. My only complaint is that it should have been released ages ago, then I wouldn't have had to re-post it. But wait... maybe that was... have I been duped?!?
Dope Body - Repo Man
These guys are new to me, but man are they awesome. So pleased to find a proper grunge band that isn't from mid-90s Seattle. Think they could afford to the boost the vocals a bit in the mix. They're a bit clouded by the guitars. Great sound though.

Super busy weekend, so things didn't quite happen on here. That's ok, because that means Steve got a little more front page action. So let's do an unofficial Metal Monday. Hey Rosetta! - Soft Offering (For The Oft Suffering)
I'm excited to hear this new album. I have a copy but haven't listened to it yet, weird huh? Anyway I'll get to it today. The last release kind of left me a little underwhelmed, but I'm enjoying this new track. It's a little different sounding, kind of a mix of Peter Gabriel and early (i.e. good) Coldplay. Wintersleep - Jaws Of Life
These guys have just completely sunk into oblivion. They had so much promise and somewhere the edge got just fell away. Mismanagement maybe? This is from their 2005 album, a brilliant offering, and one that had, unbeknownst to me, a plethora of videos released, all seemingly directed by Sean Wainsteim. Maybe he was a friend of a friend, or a label hiree, but I just feel like every one of them completely missed the mark. As if they were more to act as a show reel for what tricks the director had rather than actually having anything to do with the music.

Sam Roberts - Shapeshifters
Let's do some Canadian rock today. These guys from Montreal are always hit and miss for me. This latest album was really upbeat, rocky, but I just felt a tad over-produced.
