I absolutely loved their last album, so I'm pumped to check out the new one in a little bit. This track is a cover of an Andy Bey track from way back in '71. Great way to start your Friday night.

Black Milk - Sunday's Best / Monday's Worst
One of the better hip-hop albums to come out last year, reminds me a lot of The Roots, and it's unsurprising to see Black Thought make a cameo on another track.

Shad & Skratch Bastid - Outta My Head
There isn't an official video for this one, or any of the tracks from that great EP that these two did together, which is really a shame since it's a great disc. So here's a random video of some dude's afternoon walking around New York. It'll have to do.

Röyksopp - Something In My Heart
This is actually a b-side off the "Running To The Sea" single, which is funny because this is a vastly superior track. I know I know, subjectivity and all that, but seriously. If you had to choose between the two, which would you pick?
Cashmere Cat - Wedding Bells
I have no idea what this is about. Kinda reminds me of Lapalux. I'm not even sure if I like it... I mean it's cool, but it might be a little too crazy, if that's a thing. Check it anyway.

Let's go in a completely different direction today, because it's more fun that way.

The Stanfields - Ship To Shore
I'd almost forgotten about this song until recently, and I'd never seen the video before, so here's this beauty from another east coast treasure. Man these guys are great.

The Presidents Of The United States Of America - Poor Little Me
These zany characters are back with a new record, here's the first video. Great fun.
The Motorleague - Burned In Effigy
It's been an obscenely long time since I posted anything by these guys, but since I'm stranded in Moncton for the time being it seems like a good time for more.

Grum - In Love
I was a huge, massive fan of Grum's last album so I was very much looking forward to the new stuff he's been working on, but I gotta be honest, this first single is very underwhelming. It sounds pretty unoriginal and doesn't have near the soul of the his older stuff. I'm gonna post it anyway but let's hope this isn't indicative of the route he's chosen...

Moby - Almost Home
This old cat did an AMA on Reddit the other day and dropped this video. The track itself is a little airy-fairy for my taste but the video is great, so here ya go.

Gorgon City - Ready For Your Love
We need some new dancy ish up in here. I'm lovin' the garage groove in this track, the vocals are a bit much at times, think I just need to find myself a dub version.

Meleah Christensen - Don't Call It Love
Another cover, this one completely random. Was just searching for a video for this Zero 7 track and found this hidden gem. She sounds a little shy, but this is really nicely done.

Speaking of great voices... I posted these lovelies a couple months back, but just had to get this one one up as soon as possible. Amazing cover.

Wild Belle - Take Me Away
This is hand shot from some random audience member so the audio and video is a little rough, but it's not too bad considering the source. She's got quite a unique voice.

Disclosure - Stimulation
I haven't posted anything from these guys in like... a month? Ha ha, this might be my favorite track from the album. There isn't an official video so here's some flashy moving pictures that some guy threw together that sorta go with the beat. It'll do for now.

Chromeo - Come Alive
I've been busy, but I have a few minutes of breathing space to here's some new tunes. The first is from the new album coming out from these cats. I'm looking for to it, but I'm not really that impressed with this first single. A bit too flighty for my tastes, and Toro Y Moi doesn't really add anything in my opinion. Meh, have a look and see what you think. Maybe I'm just getting old.
