Our Lady Peace - Heavyweight
Raine Maida & Co. return with their first album in three years. They've hit a period of distinct mediocrity for the last decade, but here's hoping this one's a step back to what they do well. I like the rock feel of this track, so I'm optimistic about the rest of the album. Didn't really care for the video but give it a watch.

Human face video mapping
This is pretty awesome, especially considering it was done with a couple projectors and with no post production or digital correction. Created by the evil Portuguese twins Oskar & Gaspar!

Stories like this shine small rays of hope on an otherwise despairingly gloomy future for humanity. Ever wonder why there are no feel-good stories about people at the top of the food chain?

Disturbing police footage
I'm not really a fan of everyone having video cameras on their cell phones. It all just seems a bit excessive and overly voyeuristic. When you see footage like this, however, you think that maybe it's a good idea. I don't really know where I stand. What I do know, however, is that there are a lot of good police officers out there who really need to stand up to their asshole coworkers because these shitty cops are giving you all a bad name. Warning: very disturbing footage inside.

Rex Murphy on the F-35 controversy
Sorry, been away longer than expected. Expect consistent updates for the next couple weeks before I'm on the road again.
The latest furor in the media has been the F-35 issue. I think I've given my stance on this topic many times before but here's Mr. Murphy's opinion. I wholeheartedly agree with every word.
