Let's do some Canadian rock today. These guys from Montreal are always hit and miss for me. This latest album was really upbeat, rocky, but I just felt a tad over-produced. The drum tracks sounded kind of dry and stale, and the vocals sound processed and squashed and chorused to death. But hey, it's a catchy tune and I like the video. It's probably much better live.

Sam Roberts - Brother Down
Sam Roberts is headlining FredRock this year. To be honest I'm not his biggest fan, but he's had some cool tracks come out over the years. This remains my favourite, I remember like yesterday hearing it on the Edge in Toronto. Less than 48 hours until I return to Freddy Beach for the weekend, so I'd better get back to work.
