Russian scientists reach Lake Vostok

They've done it. After 30 years of drilling, scientists have finally reached the mysterious Lake Vostok. It's been an intriguing last week or so when reports of its imminent awakening surfaced accompanied by reports that the scientists had gone missing or at least lost contact with the world, but all of those proved to be unfounded and they have finally made it through the ice. Now the question is, what is down there? Some of the world's preeminent billionaires are there to see, and whatever they find you can be sure it's going to be mind-blowing.

Youssou N'Dour & Neneh Cherry - 7 Seconds

I had a bit of the sniffles yesterday and thankfully missed the Superbowl halftime abomination, but have recovered sufficiently to post a bunch of links today. Remember this great tune? Maybe not, considering it came out back in 1994. Youssou N'Dour is a world famous singer, composer, and social activist from Senegal. If you haven't heard of him, you're missing out, and hopefully this will change things for you. Neneh Cherry is Swedish-African, quite an interesting mix, and has been around for a while, mostly doing collaborations in recent years. Give this one a good listen or two. And heck, why not post another great track with Youssou featuring in it. Big it up.

BONUS YOUSSOU!
