A double posting of sorts today. We'll start with the "bonus beats". I wanted to wait until they'd finished their music video shoot, but they've just released a new single from their upcoming album, so welcome to The Arka Teks. Hailing from right here in sunny Fredericton are Tyler Lombard and Nick Fowler. Tyler has been doing his own acoustic stuff for a while now but in joining in with Nick's slick production work they've formed a beauty little combo, check out their YouTube channel for all kinds of goodness. Expect big things from these guys.
And first up but secondly is a band that needs no introduction. I saw them live at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1996 and it was positively monumental in its awesomeness. It's been nearly twenty years since that magical album "Ten" was released and it's fair to say they aren't the same band, but they can still rock out and even in their somewhat mellowed condition they've maintained their artistic integrity. This is far from my favorite tune of theirs, but it's sweet little tune just the same. The strings are a nice touch.
