SBTRKT - New Dorp, New York
Might as well just come out and say it. I'm not feelin' the new album. I absolutely loved the self-titled LP, it was my favorite release of 2011, and when this new disc was announced it was a shoe-in to be a contender for my best of this year, but this one just... doesn't do it. Don't count your chickens?
If you're into weird indie hip-hop hybrid stuff you'll probably like it. I tried to get into it. Gave it a few listens, and nothing, just... meh. This track... cool video, don't like the song. I suppose that's not surprising since I'm not really into Vampire Weekend. Anyway, I hope you like it more than me.

The Saturday Beat
Right, this one's been a long time coming, and I owed you some bangin' tracks. A Lannister always pays his debts. Taking tomorrow off. See you Monday.
A quality exception from that mediocre Fatboy Slim World Cup album.
New one from my man Galen, free download too!
I actually like the original mix better, but this will do.
Nice little tech house ditty here.
More bumpin' tech.
Big fan of Mr. Horvat's work...
...and El Brigante. Tribal dopeness right here.
Been a while since I posted a Gigamesh remix!
Deep and deadly.
That'll do donkey, that'll do.

Sloan - The Other Man
So I guess it's sort of an unofficial Canadian rock day too? Fair enough. These great east coasters have a new album out. It's a serious throwback album. It sounds like it could have been released in the early '70s. Not as good as their earlier stuff I don't think, but worth checking out. This track... yes.

The Odds - Eat My Brain
