Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
This is from another album I wasn't really into, but this track is catchy.
Metronomy - The Look
Their latest album got big raps but I wasn't really that into it. I guess I'm just not into the indie scene. That said this track is cool, and I dig the video.
The Alchemist & Oh No (Gangrene) - Vodka & Ayahuasca
This is another one that needs to be posted just for the insanity in the video.

Timber Timbre - Black Water
Weird, kinda creepy video from this Polaris Prize nominee out of Ontario. Cool tune.

Souleye - Adventure
This is a video trailer of some crazy video game music over some crazy people flying around in wing suits. Looks exhilarating but scary as hell. The music is nuts too.
Matthew Herbert - One Pig
I took a mini-vacation from posting this week. Mostly because it's been terribly frustrating seeing the world fight with itself over lots of stupid issues. I was going to post a big rant on Obama's speech, but I think I'll save it for later. Here instead is a story about an album made from a pig. Why a pig? Why not make a record out a pig?

Ben Caplan - Down To The River
Yup, that's one epic beard. Song's pretty decent too. Recording could have been better. Meh.
Pretty Lights - I Know The Truth
You should probably watch this in HD. Just cuz it's freakin' awesome.

Sesame Street breaks it down
I don't think I've posted this before. If I have, it's worth the double post.

Surface Of The Sun
The amazing Fader Creep cover of John Murphy's "Surface Of The Sun", paired with this amazing speech from Charlie Chaplin at the conclusion of "The Great Dictator". You've probably heard or seen it before, but maybe not this version which is pretty awesome.
Reality hits you hard, bro
Here's another story. Less awesome than the last one, but awesome nonetheless.
MSG Roy Benavidez speech from 1981
This is one of the most incredible stories you will ever hear. We should all strive to be as courageous in the fight for peace to ensure that we never have to put ourselves in the same situation.
Charles LeBlanc raided by Fredericton Police
I don't agree with everything Charles says, but I absolutely support his right to blog and criticize. Grow a bigger spine, Fredericton Police. This is petty even by your standards.

Hitler reacts to SOPA
Remember when we used to see lots of these clips on the YouTube and then the movie company got mad and pulled them? Thank goodness we're over that crap. This is probably the best one I've seen.
By the way, if you haven't seen the movie that the footage comes from, "Downfall", I highly recommend it.
Louis CK hates Twitter
There aren't a whole lot of good comedians going around these days, but this guy is probably the best of those that are worth listening to.
The Gay Rights Movement
There are different ways to look at the "gay issue", and for some reason some people don't seem to be able to understand or accept it, which is pretty stone-age in my view. How exactly is a gay man marrying another gay man threatening to my way of life?
It's totally ridiculous, but let's put that aside for a second. Let's also put religion aside for a second, because those kinds of religious views are also ridiculous. Let's look at this from a legal, economic standpoint. Married people get tax benefits. I don't agree with this at all, but it's a fact. Why should only straight people be allowed to marry and enjoy those benefits, and not gay people? If that isn't discrimination, I don't know what is.
As Clint Eastwood so eloquently puts it, let's just give everybody the chance to live the lives that they want. What's the harm in that?
Lawrence O'Donnell exposes Associated Press lies
Once again the mainstream media is caught lying. Why do we put up with this crap?

Solving The Mystery Of WTC 7
For those who already know the official story on 9/11 is bogus, there won't be anything really new in this. For those who don't, watch this and wake up already.
Morgan Freeman solves the race problem
He's not a man of God, and he doesn't want black history month! Brilliant.
Samsung's transparent smart window
This is a pretty amazing piece of technology, but to be honest I really hate touch screens and would rather just have a regular window thanks.

When Mitt Romney Came To Town
Would you vote for this guy? I wouldn't even shake his greasy goddamned hand.

Nigel Farage continues to torment European Union
I've fixed my Twitter feed! I think? Let me know if it doesn't work!
I love this guy. He isn't afraid to call a spade a spade and continually rips into the European parliament for being the sham that it is. He absolutely trashed EU president Herman van Rompuy last year, and here's another beauty.

CNN reporter Dana Bash gets put in her place
It's not easy being a corporate hack employee. I like how she compares her situation to the Arab-Israeli conflict. I want some of what she's smoking.

NASA admits to knowledge of Cold Fusion!
Had some technical difficulties with a severely overheating computer for the past couple days, but after a couple hours of surgery I'm back in action and good to go, and just in time as well!
Back in October I tweeted about Andrea Rossi's E-Cat Cold Fusion device demonstration. For those who don't know what cold fusion is, in a nutshell it is an energy reaction that produces excess energy, i.e. more than it takes in, and is also clean, i.e. no harmful radiation. It's the holy grail of energy production. Free energy. Most physicists will try to tell you this is impossible, despite many people before having shown that it is possible.
The world can deny its existence no longer. Rossi has announced that he plans commercial production of home units by the end of 2012, and NASA has just released the following video admitting their knowledge of the process. The race is on. Fossil fuels, your time has come.

D-Sisive - GG Allin
Solid solo effort from one of the lead guys in Sweatshop Union. Warning: Strong language inside!

Chris Draft's wedding trailer
I'm not usually into this "mushy" kind of stuff, but there's a lesson in this one somewhere. Here's the quick story: A certain American politician's wife got cancer, and he delivers divorce papers to her while she was in the hospital recovering from surgery. A certain NFL player's fiancée is diagnosed with terminal cancer, and they get married in the wedding shown below. A month later she passes away. It's a real question of values.

Walk Off The Earth - Somebody That I Used To Know
...and I just saw this one, so I had to post it. Here's a cover of the song I just posted, and it's pretty crazy.
Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know
This one's been making the rounds, I really dig this live version.
The Residents - Hello Skinny
You might recognize a certain Les Claypool providing vocals for this creaptacular auditory adventure.
Fred McDowell - Shake 'Em On Down
Right, now on to some music. Here's a real oldie for ya from Mississippi.
War with Iran by George Galloway
George Galloway is a very polarising figure in politics. He's hit and miss for me, but this one's a beauty. Here he absolutely trashes some nitwit on his radio show.
The 720 double kickflip
I'm not a skater, but this is straight-out-of-a-freakin-video-game awesome. Even the cows approve!
The Empathic Civilisation
Here's another one of those fancy dry erase board illustration videos. Give it a look if you've got 10 minutes to kill.
How intellectuals betrayed the poor
I'd never heard of Cornel West before seeing this, but I wish I had professors like that in school. He's just as entertaining to watch as he is to listen to.
Penn Jillette's guide to the election
I don't really like this guy, and this really has little political value, but it is a pretty humorous take on the state of religion among the American candidates.
Ron Paul's future predictions from 2002
All came true. No, he's not a prophet, he just knows how to read and prefers to talk out of his mouth rather than his rectum.
The Washington press corps fears Ron Paul
And for a very good reason. Just one more reason to vote for him.

Ron Paul takes third in Iowa
Well Ron Paul didn't quite win Iowa like we had hoped, but Iowa doesn't really count, right? Well ok, maybe it does, sorta, but the only stat that matters coming out of Iowa are the number of RNC party delegates (i.e. seats) won by each candidate, and that won't be decided for a few months. In that sense it's highly conceivable that Ron Paul did, in fact, win Iowa. And we thought Canadian politics were weird? It's no wonder people get turned off by the stuff.
Anyway it's interesting to note that the Associated Press is reporting that Mitt Romney won 13 delegates and Rick Santorum 12, which is a complete fabrication. The United Corporation of America really doesn't want Ron Paul to win. Here's another interesting statistic.
